Memorial Day was first observed in response to the Union victory in the Civil War. It has since come to honor all those who have fallen defending freedom. Join us in celebrating our fallen heroes and in gathering our strength for the struggle to come. This Memorial Day, join your Iron Front compatriots at Pavilion 2 off the Harrison Ave entrance to William B. Umstead State Park in Cary. We will have food, fellowship, and a chili cook off!
The pavilion itself seats 60, but there are plenty of picnic tables in the surrounding area, so even if the event registration fills up, keep on coming! When registering, please include all attendees in your party who ages five and up.
